What to Expect
|
A church's music reflects its beliefs. Whether we are singing an old hymn or the newest song; raising our hands or reverently bowing our heads; singing loud or quietly reflecting on the words- our goal in musical worship is to proclaim Gospel truth to ourselves and each other so that our affections for God are heightened both personally and corporately. |
Preaching at Riverside is expository. This means that preaching 'exposes' the meaning and intent of the Bible. The Bible does not serve to support the preacher's opinions, but the preacher serves to present the meaning and intent of the Bible to the congregation. |

We offer a Nursery and a preschool age class during the regular church services. We do background checks on all of our children's workers to ensure the best care and safest environment for your children. |
Riverside Kids, ages 5 yrs. & up, stay in the sanctuary with the adults to worship with them through song. Before the sermon, the kids are dismissed to Children's Church where they worship God through the study of his Word led by our Children's Church teachers. |

On the 2nd Sunday of each month, kids 5 yrs. & up stay in the main service for the whole service. They are given a kids pack with quiet activities they can do during the sermon. The activities pertain to the sermon to help them adjust to worship in the setting of the whole church and to provide an opportunity for kids to worship with their families. At the end of the service, the kids can turn their pack in to receive a prize! |
